Gym Equipment Repair Call-Out Service 

 

Terms and Conditions

 

 

1. Definitions

 

“Company”, “we”, “our”, or “us” refers to the gym equipment repair service provider Gym Service UK

 

“Customer” refers to the person or business booking the service.

 

“Equipment” refers to any gym or fitness equipment inspected or repaired.

 

“Call-Out Service” refers to the attendance of a technician at the customer’s premises for inspection, diagnosis, or repair.

 

2. Booking and Deposit

 

A non-refundable call-out deposit of £60 is required to secure an appointment.

 

The deposit covers:

 

  • Engineer travel time
  • Attendance at the premises
  • Initial diagnostic inspection

 

No appointment is confirmed until the deposit has been received.

 

The deposit will be deducted from the total cost of repair work if the customer proceeds with the repair during the visit.

 

3. Scope of Call-Out Service

 

The call-out fee covers diagnosis and inspection only.

 

Minor adjustments may be completed during the visit where possible.

 

Any repairs requiring:

 

  • Replacement parts
  • Additional labour
  • Specialist tools
  • Further visits

 

will be quoted separately.

 

No repair work will proceed without customer approval of the quotation.

 

4. Cancellations and Missed Appointments

 

 

Customer Cancellation

 

If the customer cancels:

 

More than 24 hours before the appointment:

The deposit may be transferred to another appointment.

 

Less than 24 hours before the appointment:

The deposit will be forfeited.

 

No Access / Missed Appointment

 

If the technician attends and:

 

  • No one is present
  • Access to equipment is not possible
  • Equipment cannot be safely inspected

 

the call-out deposit will be retained and a further call-out fee will apply for a new appointment.

 

5. Estimates and Repair Costs

 

Any quotation provided after inspection is an estimate based on visible faults.

 

If further faults are discovered during repair, we reserve the right to revise the quotation, and customer approval will be required before continuing.

 

Parts costs may vary depending on supplier availability.

 

6. Payment Terms

 

Payment for completed repair work is due immediately upon completion unless otherwise agreed in writing.

 

Failure to make payment may result in:

 

  • Suspension of further work
  • Recovery action for outstanding balances

 

We reserve the right to charge statutory interest on overdue invoices in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998 for business customers.

 

7. Parts and Warranty

 

Replacement parts supplied may carry manufacturer warranties where applicable.

 

This warranty does not cover:

 

  • Wear and tear
  • Incorrect usage
  • Lack of maintenance
  • Electrical issues unrelated to repair
  • Damage caused by third parties

 

Warranty claims must be reported within the warranty period.
