Gym Service UK
Gym Equipment Repair Call-Out
Refund Policy
1. Call-Out Deposit
A £60 call-out deposit is required to confirm all service bookings.
The deposit covers:
- Technician travel time
- Attendance at the premises
- Initial inspection and diagnostic assessment of the equipment
The deposit will be deducted from the total repair cost if the customer proceeds with the recommended repair during the visit.
2. When a Refund Will Be Issued
A full refund of the £60 deposit will be provided if:
- The company cancels the appointment.
- The technician is unable to attend the appointment.
- The booking is cancelled by the customer more than 24 hours before the scheduled appointment.
Refunds will normally be processed within 5–10 business days using the original payment method.
3. When the Deposit Is Non-Refundable
The £60 deposit will not be refunded if:
- The customer cancels less than 24 hours before the appointment.
- The technician arrives but access to the premises or equipment is not available.
- The equipment cannot be inspected due to unsafe conditions or lack of access.
- The customer chooses not to proceed with the repair after diagnosis.
- The customer is not present at the agreed appointment time.
In these situations the deposit covers the technician’s time, travel, and diagnostic service.
4. Rescheduling Appointments
If the customer needs to change their appointment and provides at least 24 hours notice, the £60 deposit may be transferred to a new booking instead of refunded.
Only one reschedule may be permitted without requiring a new deposit.
5. Repair Work Refunds
Once repair work has been completed:
- Labour charges are non-refundable.
- Parts may only be refunded if faulty or incorrectly supplied.
Any issues with repairs must be reported within 30 days of the service visit.
6. Customer Rights
This refund policy does not affect any statutory rights customers may have under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
